Spears Cross has successfully married old world charm with today’s comforts to provide an elegant and distinctive character.
The fine oak door, the original 15th century Plank & Munton wall panelling, the ceiling beams and the inglenook fireplace add to the character.
The linen tabled dining room, the good quality crockery, the Riedel glassware and the use of local produce for breakfast gives a quality edge.
We offer a selection of some 20 different teas, which are complementary. Tea and coffee, together with home made cakes are always available.
We are fully licensed and our wine list currently stands at 120 wines and we have a Malt Whisky selection of 20 Malts. So, we have the perfect ingredients to relax and indulge a little; making Spears Cross a welcome retreat after a day out on Exmoor.
Bedrooms
We have four elegant bedrooms. The premium quality, Relyon Super King size beds are a comforting 6 feet wide and with a double layer of 2262 pocket springs help ensure a good nights sleep.
We have Goose Down Duvets and Goose Feather pillows. We offer synthetic alternatives or wool blankets if you are allergic.
Rooms boast a Bose music system and a selection of CD’s, Panasonic flat screen tv, DVD player, magazines, a Decanter of Carlo Pellegrino Marsala and a comprehensive selection of Teas and a Cafetière of Coffee.
Bathrooms are fresh and crisp and offer luxurious fluffy bathrobes together with top quality Penhaligon toiletries.
